Proof

Christianity makes dozens of outrageous claims. Several are essential to its basic validity. If the essential claims of Christianity can be shown to be wrong, then Christianity is wrong. The chain of Christianity is only as strong as its weakest link. In order to be a Christian, Christians must have an answer for the probles presented in the articles linked to from here.

If either of the two points below can be disproved, then Christianity cannot be true. It must be false.

Perfect Bible

Christianity claims that the Bible is God’s word. Because it is God’s word, it can’t have any errors. The Bible finds its authority as being from God and not from men. If the Bible is from God, it can’t have errors. If there are errors, it isn’t from God.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 claims that,

“For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

A single error, contradiction or just plain wrongness in the Bible means that the above verse is wrong. It means that the Bible completely falls.

Article 1: The Bible and Prayer.

Article 2: Can’t Trust the Bible.

Perfect God

The Bible says that God is completely just. The Bible says that God is completely merciful. The Bible says that God is love. The Bible says that God is unchanging — He’s always the same.

If any of these points aren’t true, then Christianity falls. Christianity is only as strong as its basic principles.
